All Paper Chic Luncheon!

How inspiring is this gorgeous luncheon held at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris? Every single detail on the table was made of paper! A large piece of wallpaper was used for the design of the invitations to these 40 fortunate women who were invited. Having the architecture of the beautiful museum as the backdrop for this installation made high drama between the space and the art!

Come on Baby Light my Fire!

I know, I know…it’s summer and who wants to sit beside a fire pit now…especially in Texas!! But there are other parts of the country and in the fall in the south when the nights do cool and sitting around a fire pit whether it is built in or portable is a delightful, sociable way to spend an evening. I loved the bonfires on the beach but when that isn’t handy to you these examples and an infinite number of designs out there are the next best thing.

The handcrafted fire pits and domes are unique and works of art by metal artist Jason Long.

So enjoy the nights roasting marshmallows and making s’mores over a gas or log feed fire and star watch!
